A Year Ago Today.

A year ago today I sat on the sofa with my eldest daughter saying I'd really like to have a blog,I was inspired by the lovely Jeannie who gently nudged me towards the decision, helped by my daughter who set me up with the basics and then taught by Julie how to do all the little things like add links amongst other things. Since then I have found so many new friends who have helped me find confidence in my crafting and helped me with so many things.I can honestly say that it has been the best confidence building project that I have ever done. I never dreamt that I would be able to find my way around the computer,at last I can do something technical that my husband has no idea how to do. Thank you to everyone,I love your visits and I'm really happy when I find a new follower on my list,it leads me down your path where I find yet another world.
Today's card was made to answer a last minute plea for a card for my youngest to give a friend who looks remarkably like the lovely Kellita by Tickled Pink.

I made the flower as in this card added a tiny flat backed pearl and used copics to colour the image.

Thought I'd show you the flower from a different angle as it has two layers as apposed to the one on my last card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:-
Sweet Sunday,Sketch,6.2.11
TTT20,Anything girlie,8.2.11
CCH52,Happy Birthday,7.2.11
Tickled Pink 4,Vintage,4.2.11
Stamp Fairy 8,Home made flowers,7.2.11
Papertake Weekly,Anything goes+flowers.8.2.11
Thanks for stopping by today,I'm look forward to the next year,
Have a great day,
Julie.x

I have to say, your flowers look much better than mine. :-/ I have such a HARD time following written instructions. This is PERFECT. I always have to tuck the defective petal under the image a bit. lol
Comgratulations on your blogaversary!! Mine is coming up in March or April. I'm trying to think of something special to do but I'm not sure what yet.
Beautiful card! Oh to be a size 0000. LOL!!

Hello Julie!

I am LOVING the crocheted flower adornment, works really well on your card (which is fabulous by the way).
I am so happy that you came to visit my blog today, and the news your Mum is getting busy with the crochet again - that is wonderful to hear - I hope she is enjoying it!

Sending love

Hi Julie,
Such a lovely sentiment regarding you blog anniversary, your confidence blooming, tackling technology, and new friendships. You have a way with words.
The crochet flower is the perfect embellishment for this sassy young lady! Oh to have long skinny legs! Crochet and pearls - love that combo!
Comments from blog friends are so uplifting - but isn't getting asked to make a card by a daughter the BEST ever? My daughter is not into crafting at all and when she asks me for a card my heart does a little song.
Congrats on your mastery blogging - isn't technology great! My husband is a computer nerd but hasn't a clue how to get started or maintain a blog...I like it that way!
Hope you are staying warm - it is BITTER cold here in the Midwest.

Hi Julie, I kind of blog hopped my way to you and love what you do. This crocheted flower is great. I'm a crochet'r, like to make it up as I go along kind of girl though. I must have a go at making a flower, I keep promising to do so. congrats on your blogaversay. I'm still fairly new, and loving the learning experience and meeting new people. My card making has improved with all the challenges, great isn't it. Hugs lin
