Life Is But A Dream!

It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge at Scrapbook Sisters. The challenge theme for week 37 is "Row,row, row your boat" I was going to colour up one of my boat images but decided that I'd get out my neglected Quickutz Dies, I don;t think I've used this since I was known as the Quickutz queen lol. I used my ribbler to achieve the bottom section of the card and if you do a close up of the image section, you'll see that I achieved the waves by cutting thin strips of card using my zig zag blade,I then glued them together before cutting the section with my Nestie Squares. The paper is Forever Friends Goodlife retro collection. The embellishments are from my stash. Forgot to say,I coloured a strip of staples blue using a copic pen then stapled a couple into the top corner of my card.
Would you like a handy tip? I couldn't find my dressmakers pattern tool to pierce around my card, didn't fancy getting my sewing machine out so went for the lazy option,I cut a strip of bazil using my zig zag blade, placed the zig zag edge to the edge of my paper, leaving a thin margin, I then used a needle to prick into every dip of the cut bazil. I hope I've explained it clearly,it's such an easy thing to do,can't believe I've never thought of it before. If on the other hand I've left you confused, please leave me a comment and I'll try to take some photos to explain it better.
Thanks for stopping by,

Oh this is so neat, Julie! And I love how the little boat scene is made on top of the canvas paper. The twine and charm are real cute too. Another winner of a card, Julie!

This is fantastic! I have really been struggling with masculine cards this week. I have made about five of them and nearly hated every single one.
Yours is so clean and lovely. Thanks for the inspiration.

Layers of details. It all works so well together. The staples are aces! Love 'em! (forget to use them...now they will be on my radar - thank you.)
