This'll Get You Singing!

I wouldn't mind betting that you are going to have a song going through your head for ages after reading my post for today and if you're like me,you'll be googling to find out the words. It's a song that I can remember from my childhood, though I only knew for sure 5 words lol! I didn't even remember who sang it but now that google has helped me out I can just picture the lady in Question, hair hanging lank, big black framed glasses......So,what is she on about now you might ask ?????
The theme for challenge 39 at Scrapbook Sisters is " English Country Garden" !!!! The singer was Nana Mouskouri,I bet that lots of you have heard it.

I automatically think of wide borders of rose bushes and hollyhocks, lupins, daisies, butterflies fluttering, ahhhh, can you hear the tea cups chinking as they are placed on the saucers? Ok,maybe I have lost it a little ;) I had no idea what I was going to do to capture the image in my head and tie it into my DT card for this week until I saw a little tutorial showing how to make a double pocket card. The little light came on and this is what I ended up with.
The butterfly rubber stamps are years old,by Anitas I believe, coloured using Copics covered in stickles and Glossy accents added down the bodies. The foliage is from Gayle Bonds Flowers and fauna which I stamped onto green and cut out The die cuts my DH treated me to,(don't tell him) they are Nellie Snellen frames and the papers are from the 12x12 First Edition paper pack Spring Feast, very Lovely.

I really wanted to find forget-me-knot seeds, but then thought that these would be just perfect to go with my image.

I thought you'd like to see the card without the seeds. I don't say it very often by I love this card!!!! It may not be a Julie origonal design but then if I was making an easel card it would also be using a technique that someone else came up with.
I do hope you feel inspired to join us in this weeks challenge.
Altogether now
" How many gentle flowers grow
In an English Country Garden?"
Thanks for stopping by,
Julie.x

Julie I love this card! Everything about it is gorgeous! I am gonna steal the double layering of the scalloped circle sometime. Very nice of your husband to have "bought" you those punches, my husband is like that too. Just amazing what he has "bought" me!
