Anything Goes!

The theme for this weeks challenge at Scrapbook Sisters is "Anything Goes"

A few years ago I bought some lovely number templates at Ally Pally and they are a great fall back especially for special birthdays. I made my shaped card using the Echo Park papers "For the Record" by Bella Road, perfect for a girl who's favourite colour is red.

With the off cuts I decided that a gift card would be a quick make, this time using Sizzix "Round a Bout" alphabet /number dies.

I'm using these for the following Challenges:-
The Paper Shelter 29,Anything goes
Creative Card Crew,Anything goes,
PTT31,Anything goes,
Lia Stampz 2,Birthday,
Make It Monday 52,Anything goes.
Thanks for stopping by,

p.s.Just to let you know, there's a new giveaway just gone up for this fortnight at Scrapbook Sister's too!

Thank You Bettina!

Hi everyone,I've been missing in action for a few days but hopefully I'll be back on form this week. We've been away for a few days and just before I went I happened to mention in passing to one of my fellow Southern Girls Teamies that I didn't own any Hanglar & Stangler stamps, my oh my,within a few minutes she had put one in the post to me and the first thing I saw on my return was an envelope on the mat,all the way from Sweden!  So Thank you Bettina, you're a real sweetie!
So a new stamp, what else could I do but make a card, the first creation in my Crafty Cabin or "Paper Palace" as suggested by Dorcas, still can't decide what to call it,"Shed" does seem to trip off the tongue a little too easily lol!
The hearts were freebies ages ago from Meljen.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Make it Monday 52,Anything goes,
MCS23,Sew much fun,
OLLCC87,No design papers,
PIO35,Girls wanna have fun,

Guess The Decade

It's time for a new challenge at Southern Girls and this one's a little bit different, the theme is "Decade" now me being a bit thick I had to ask what it meant but it's easy as pie,you just make a card reflecting the decade. I was born in the mid 60's so chose that era for my DT card, I'm hoping my card says,MOD's,Mary Quant,Two tone???? hope so anyway. My lovely image 60's Ivy is from  from Tickled Pink who along with Kenny K are this fortnight's sponsors, wouldn't mind winning myself!

Make sure you call by to see the amazing examples from the rest of the Southern Girlies,

Need A New Recipe?

There's a recipe for you to follow at Scrapbook Sisters this week, you need to include a "Flower, some Ribbon and Gems"on your card, easy don't you thing, they're part of my staple diet lol!

I'm hoping that my flower resembles a Gerbra,I used some neglected Quickutz dies and then scored lines into each petal to achieve the look, then sprinkled a black punched circle with some pink and yellow flock then added another circle of black fabric which I slightly trimmed then stuck over the first circle, in real life it resembles the pollen on the gerbra on my friends invitations. I haven't got an acceptance stamp so just stamped thank you instead.
Can't wait to see everyones creations this week,

A Blast From The Past

The Challenge 112 at MAWTT is "Flash back week" they want to see a creation from the past and the reason that you're proud of it. My card was made for my friend who keeps chickens and has a cat and a dog,I took it into Scrapbook Sisters way back in 2008,just to share it as I was rather pleased. It was my first ever project to go onto a blog and I can remember being excited that people from anywhere in the world would see it. Karen and Julie asked me on that day to become part of their Design Team, the rest as they say,is history.

The card was a pop up and was made using lots of quickutz dies,at the time,my latest gadget.

and that's it,doesn't seem much now but at the time my design was copied by several of the shop customers and it gave me quite a thrill when I was at the crop to see some ladies recreating my design.
I must say from that moment,I dreamt of having my own blog.
I'd also like to enter MIM50,Anything goes,
I must say thanks to Karen and Julie at Scrapbook Sisters for allowing me to copy my cards from their blog.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a trip down memory lane,

Feeling Blue?

There's a new challenge at Scrapbook Sisters today and the theme for this week is "Blue". For my DT card I used some stamps that came free with a recent magazine and the spotty blue paper is from my scrap drawer. I used a fine liner to doodle some stitches then some glossy accents and liquid pearls to top the cakes, the addition of a few gems complete the card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Hooked on Crafts 5,Sweet treats,
CYDA26,Birthday,
Deep Ocean 6,Light blue,

Fancy A Sticky Beak?

Just thought I'd share a few photos of my lovley crafty cabin, though I need some help finding a name for it,any ideas? These are from last weekend but since these were taken we've put up the blinds, insulated and layed the floor and done the trip to Ikea.

I hope no-one expects me to do house work from now on.

Oh these photos are also from before we painted.

I'm such a lucky girly!  There might not be much in the way of blogging done over the next couple of weeks whilst I track down the stash I have stored all around the house.

I  found another free colouring page (sorry I never thought to save the link) I used this as the template to collage with a selection of papers . There's over 50 tiny circles punched and distressed to make the chest of the owl, took ages but I enjoyed doing it.

Not Quite Black And White.

Evening all, back for my second post of the day, please scroll down for my earlier post. The challenge at Southern Girls for this fortnight is Black and White with a Splash of Colour and how I love this card!

For my DT card I used a digi by Pink Cat Studio, one of this challenge sponsors, check out the challenge blog for details of the other sponsors. I coloured the image using Copics, added glossy accents to the eye and rolled a flower from purple felt. It doesn't show up too well in the photo but I also added an embossed edge to the inside edge of the card

I then added doodling around the image using a black fine liner before matting it on to black. I also added white doodling around the black punched flower before adding the 2 buttons to the centre and a fine black line around the edges and sentiment.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Creative Card Crew,Best foot forward,
CCH79,Embossing,
KBCute 24,Anything digi,
MIM49,Anything goes,
Birthday Sundaes 21,Use a sentiment,

Stars In Your Eyes

It's time for a new challenge at Scrapbook Sisters, hopefully you're going to like the theme for this week, "Stars"  The image is a Mo Manning stamped image coloured using Copics. The scrummie papers are by Fancy Pants and part of the "Rough and tumble" collection. They were part of a class kit a couple of weeks ago. I cut some stars using a Sizzix die embossed them and distressed them using chalk eyes.

A while back I kept the ribbon that was wrapped around a new M&S shirt, there was writing stitched in to the black tape using cream and gold thread. I turned it over and added it in loops at the edge of the paper. I love the look, makes me think of piano keys.

Then all that was needed was some doodled stitches and a sentiment.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Stamping Boutique 12,Young male birthday,
CCH79,Embossing,
Cupcake 154,Stitching,
MIM49, Anything goes,
Cardmakin Mamas 26, Birthday cards,
That's it from me till tomorrow, thanks for stopping by,

Silhouette

Oh my goodness,it's Wednesday!!!! don't the days fly by! So  Wednesday means a new challenge at Scrapbook Sisters and something a bit different for you this week, one to get you thinking and rooting through your stamp collections, maybe a bit of double cutting...... Ok I'm wandering a bit, think the heat's getting to me lol! So anyway, back on track, this week's challenge is "Silhouette"

For my DT card I used one of the lovely Gayle Bond Dancer Digis, I coloured it up using Copics, trimmed the edge from a card and replaced it with die cut edge with added gems. I can't remember who the papers are by. It took me a while to come up with a sentiment choosing to borrow from the famous quote using "Edwardian Script" font at 36 to computer generate it, I'm going to add the occasion sentiment when I decide on the recipient.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
I did it Creations 66, Let's dance,
Creative Card Crew,Best foot forward,
Sparkles Forum,One for the girls,

Totally Ladybug Tuesday.

It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink and the challenge this time, chosen by Kerry is to "Use your favourite stamp!"  not too tricky as I have to admit since becoming a Ladybug I have fallen a little bit in love with Jack,he is just so lovely to colour.  My problem was which of my Jacks to use????? I decided to go with my lovely "Dear Santa" stamp, you can never be too soon with adding to the Christmas card box can you lol!

Excuse the fact that there are 3 photos, each looking very similar but I found it hard to get a photo that explained exactly what it was that I'd done, I hope that you get the gist.

I used one of the square card blanks with the 3 scalloped sides, folded the front in half and added my lovely Jack to the middle of the front folded edge. I added gems to the punched snowflakes and brushed the edges of the papers from the  Dovecraft "Let It Snow" paperpack with a chalk eye.  I also cut around the image using offcuts from the papers as wallpaper.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Stampfun 58,Christmas,
Woodware USA37,Anything goes,
Come And Get It,Anything goes,
Sweet Stampin,Christmas in July,
Crafty Catz 93,Christmas,
If you fancy a Jack of your own or any other Ladybug Stamp, don't forget to check out the AMAZING SALE.
