Ribbon Madness at Southern Girls.

It's  Lou's team challenge this fortnight at Southern Girls and the theme for "Challenge 33 is Ribbon Madness!"
Now,I generally use ribbon on my cards but for some reason I couldn't think of how I was going to incorporate ribbon on this one, I was just so taken with the gorgeous Lil Little Lolita Ivy by Tickled Pink that I didn't want to over do it on the ribbon  front so I decided to punch holes and tie various ribbons between them. Tickled Pink are one of the 3 sponsors for this challenge,be sure and check out the "Southern Girls"  blog for full details of the challenge and sponsors!

I slightly shaped my cut out image and raised it slightly with Pinflair glue. I then wrote "Hoppy Birthday using a white gel pen and added a few hand drawn "stitches".

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Creative Craft Challenge, Free for all,
PTT44, Anything goes,
Crafty Boots, Anything goes,
MIM65, Anything goes,
SWF 139, Stitching,
VOC22, Ribbon,
Birthday Sundaes 37, Birthday sentiment,
KCG71,Stitching,

Guess The Decade

It's time for a new challenge at Southern Girls and this one's a little bit different, the theme is "Decade" now me being a bit thick I had to ask what it meant but it's easy as pie,you just make a card reflecting the decade. I was born in the mid 60's so chose that era for my DT card, I'm hoping my card says,MOD's,Mary Quant,Two tone???? hope so anyway. My lovely image 60's Ivy is from  from Tickled Pink who along with Kenny K are this fortnight's sponsors, wouldn't mind winning myself!

Make sure you call by to see the amazing examples from the rest of the Southern Girlies,

A Year Ago Today.

A year ago today I sat on the sofa with my eldest daughter saying I'd really like to have a blog,I was inspired by the lovely Jeannie who gently nudged me towards the decision, helped by my daughter who set me up with the basics and then taught by Julie how to do all the little things like add links amongst other things. Since then I have found so many new friends who have helped me find confidence in my crafting and helped me with so many things.I can honestly say that it has been the best confidence building project that I have ever done. I never dreamt that I would be able to find my way around the computer,at last I can do something technical that my husband has no idea how to do. Thank you to everyone,I love your visits and I'm really happy when I find a new follower on my list,it leads me down your path where I find yet another world.
Today's card was made to answer a last minute plea for a card for my youngest to give a friend who looks remarkably like the lovely Kellita by Tickled Pink.

I made the flower as in this card added a tiny flat backed pearl and used copics to colour the image.

Thought I'd show you the flower from a different angle as it has two layers as apposed to the one on my last card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:-
Sweet Sunday,Sketch,6.2.11
TTT20,Anything girlie,8.2.11
CCH52,Happy Birthday,7.2.11
Tickled Pink 4,Vintage,4.2.11
Stamp Fairy 8,Home made flowers,7.2.11
Papertake Weekly,Anything goes+flowers.8.2.11
Thanks for stopping by today,I'm look forward to the next year,
Have a great day,

Southern Girls Challenge 10

It's time for another challenge at Southern Girls and Challenge 10 is Totally Loved Up.There's some brilliant sponsors this week and we have been spoilt with our choice of images so much so that many of the design team chose to make two inspirational cards. This is the card I made using the stunning Kellita by Tickled Pink, I will post my other card later in the week but you can take a look at it now over at Southern Girls blog hopefully when you enter your card :)I used Copics to colour the image,I must say I was a little scared about colouring the eyes as I've only ever coloured images with dot type eyes before. It wasn't half so tricky as I thought it would be but I did end up going over some areas with my blender to lift some of the colour,I'm rather pleased with the results though. The papers are by BoBunny and the hearts were cut using the cricut and Plantins Schoolbook Cartridge.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
CYDA11,Anything goes,
C4C69,Anything goes,
Make It Colourful 1,Warm or cool colours,
Stamp Something,January Digi Day,
Tickled Pink 1,Anything goes,
Scrap Creations,Love is in the air,
TTT17,Anything goes,
Bunny Zoes 8,Love is in the air,
Kaboodle Doodles 49,Do it with digis,
Lexis 31,Say it with love.
