A New Release

Billie Bear is back again featuring in the new release.

Kerry has done a brilliant job with this release, I happened to mention in passing that lots of my friends had taken up knitting, even I have picked up my needles after many years,
Kerry came back with the most perfect image,
Here I used it for my children to give to my mum,

I punched some hearts to echo the one on the image and coloured them to match before making them in to bunting.  I added die cut letters, stickles and doodling around the hearts and to frame the image.
I'm really loving using my Polychromo pencils they added depth after colouring with Copics, they even helped add a woolly effect to the knitting.

The theme for this challenge is

Seventeen.

These Teenage boys can be tricky to make cards for but with a bit of piercing, inky stitching, die cuts and perfect papers for the job I found this an easy make.

I even used some of the printed tape on the inside for the sentiment.

The piercing gives the illusion of dimension but in reality the card is flat apart from the thinnest of foam pads behind the star which means that there is no need for additional postage charges.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
C4E15, Anything goes,
EE, Birthdays,
HCTB47, No stamps,
KKKK134, Birthday.

Hope you've had a great weekend,

A Couple Of Christmas Quickies

It's no secret that I'm more disorganised than usual this year so when I find a quick design I make cards in multiples.

The image is a Nitwits from a magazine giveaway a while back. I discovered a quick way to cut out the stamped layers meaning that you only cut out the three edges  and by starting at the bottom section of the tree and working my way up  each time you cover up the rough cut edge with the next section! Ok, you probably know that but for me it was a revelation and I was a bit excited by it.

I even used my green ink pad and green twine for the first time.

I'm using these cards for the following challenges:-
CIP, Merry Christmas,
DVC47, Christmas,
GL, Christmas,
JS, Christmas,
QC26, Christmas,
TPP126, CAS.

Just realised I need to make 2 more cards! oops, looks like am early start for me then.

Time Out!

I'm sooooo tired, still haven't finished making all of my Christmas cards yet but at least I've got the postal ones made, written and sent  on their way. My daughter's convinced me to sit and watch a Christmas favourite of ours,"Miracle on  34th Street" so I'm watching with one eye and writing a post with the other lol!
If you've never seen the film, you really ought to, it's a real, feel good film!

I needed a simple design for a card and came up with this one using my lovely Fishtail Flags which I nested in order to cut a narrow window in the larger flag, slightly shaping and placing over a stamped sentiment. A bit of paper piercing a gorgeous die cut snowflake topped with a Swarovski Hot Fix Flat Back White Pearl completes the card. Not quite a five minute card but once you've got all the die cutting done, assembling doesn't take too long.
In a recent post I showed a variation of a design and the same goes here, the usual last minute request for a birthday card came whilst I was making the Christmas cards so I tweaked the design slightly, used up a leftover patchwork flower and paper pierced around the edges.

I'm using these cards for the following challenges:-
ABCCC, Favourite die cut,
PPC107, Christmas,
CTO93, Christmas anything goes,
CMC10, Snowflakes,
HOCC27, Christmas,
Lexi 80, Snow,
MIM, Anything goes.

Patchwork Part 2

Here comes another, lol! I just love this patchwork look at the mo, I haven't the patience for the real, work of art stitching kind, just the snippets of paper kind, I hope you approve as I think there could be a few more making their way to my posts. I should have taken a side view here as the scalloped circle frame is popped up on 3D pads. I should have thought it through a bit better, all those individual papers to create the patchwork scalloped frame, worth it I think but when I was tidying up after I had one of those lightbulb moments, now I can't wait to try it out as I'm sure it'll be quicker than the method I used.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
AGCB80, Stitches,
CRC, Punches and diecuts,
OBAGC, Anything but Christmas,(Old Punch)
Papertake Weekly, Flower Power,
TTCD44, Anything goes,

MIM 115, Anything goes,

A Different Shape

Evening, sometimes you just have to go with it, I'd shared that I was having a bit of a creative blip, I now know why,
I was putting myself under too much pressure, leaving the cards that I needed too late so that I HAD to create instead of giving myself time to get creative.
That was how I felt when I made this card, Under Pressure, especially as it was for a lovely friend who often orders cards from me.
I'm not entirely pleased with this but I have to tell you, that I have now got several cards ready to share and let's just warn you in advance that there's a lot of Patchwork involved!
Anyway, this little card has an embossed background which I highlighted by running round the edges of the circles with a clear glitter "Gelly Roll Pen", it doesn't show too well but it's sparklicious!  Hand cut bunting ,some new dies and some Prima flowers from a long neglected hoard and some large flat backed pearls.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
ATC26, Anything goes +sentiment,
Fairytale 54, Embossing,
Fussy and Fancy 75, Pearls and flowers,
SCT26, Use stash,
CYPC135, Hexagons.

Challenge 8 at Scrapbook Sisters

The theme for this week's card challenge at Scrapbook Sisters is "Tic Tock"

So I thought, tic tock,clock,time... follow my train of thought?
What a good excuse to ink up MFT's Time for the Bubbly. This is the first time I've felt brave enough to colour this image,I've played at colouring it in the past but that was before I had copics I have paper pieced the image before but to be honest,it took me so long I vowed I'd never do it again. I did resort to using mirri card for the mirror but surely that's the best way to go.

I shaped the bottles and glass and mounted them using foam pads as well as the main image then added 3 flat backed gems to the corner of the card.

I used some 3d glaze on the bubbles and a touch of stickles.I've not tired of using the cricut yet so used it to cut the large scalloped border in both pink and white, adding a strip of white ribbon to the top.
Now it's your turn, there's lots of ways to interpret the theme, just let your imagination go wild!
