A Little Something.

Just a quick post to share the gift and bag that went with the card in my last post.

It seems that every week my daughter comes home with at least one request for a friend's birthday.

I'm using this for the following challenges:-

Another Fluttering Trio

I treated myself to another set of stamps with butterflies, this set is by Kanban. I just couldn't resist giving them the bright Copic treatment again and setting them into tiny die cut frames with embossed backgrounds.

I just wish that I could capture just how sparkly the Gelly Roll  has made them, you can only see a hint of the sparkle here, the glossy accent bodies just about show up. The usual paper piercing and the jobs done!

I made a bracelet for my lovely friend too,

Wrapping it in tissue and hiding it in the Grand Nestie Hexagon Petal envelope.

At last I've found a use for this die cut!

I'm using these for the following challenges:-
CME13, Anything goes,
HC8,Buttons, beads or bows,
MAWTT , Birthday,

My Latest Addiction

I made a little promise to myself a while back that I was going to give other crafts a go this year, I used to do lots of different kinds of crafting when I was younger but seem to have let my love of card making gradually take over.
I used to regularly crochet and also dress make when the children were younger but apart from my Crochet pot cover and the
odd flowers for my cards, I haven't done anything else.

I've just got to be careful that my latest addiction doesn't take over! These are the bracelets that I made for my work colleagues the other week, I've since made quite a few more, I even found
myself buying jewellery in the sales to take apart for the beads today. Just
got to keep myself under control.

Anyway, Just thought I'd share my makes with you, don't know what I'm going to do with the growing collection yet but I do know my friends are happy with theirs so I'm sure they won't mind receiving more for their birthdays.
Not sure what I'm going to try my hand at next but I've a few cards that need making first.
Anyway, that's all from me for today,

The "Tidy" Has Begun

Oh my goodness, what a mess all that last minute Christmas creating created! My first venture into the cabin left me feeling glum, piles of off cuts and remnants on the bench and floor, piles of 12x12 papers cut into from when the Scrapbooking classes ended,so there was nothing else I could do. A black sack joined me and after several hours of being ruthless, most of my bench is now fit to create on again but oh my, the drawers need a serious overhaul! I'm sure I might regret it but the pile of 12x12's are now chopped into 6x6 and seem less daunting now that they are neatly bagged in their "collections". I think I could do with investing in a basket so that I can have them on my bench nagging at me instead of being forgotten in the drawer. I've even put all the diecuts in an envelope ready to send to my friend in Scotland.

So still no paper crafting has been done but what I have done is started making some bracelets after a request before Christmas by my boss. My bench is now covered in small boxes and packets of beads, threads in various colours and dobs of glue that I keep dipping the ends of the thread in to make it easier to slide through the beads.
I'm new to this game so any advice greatly received :)

These are the first couple I made in November as a trial but made on twine before I got some jewellery thread, I'm loving that I found a link on Pintrest as to how to make them adjustable.
I'll show you all the new makes once they're finished.
Oh well, that's me for today, hope it's a good one for you, thanks for stopping by, catch you later,
