It's A Lottery!

A forgotten birthday card needed a quick recovery and sometimes just a card doesn't fit the bill.

So I bought a lottery ticket and made a match book style wallet to hold it, just a shame it wasn't a winning ticket!

I'm using this gift wallet for the following challenges:-
CIOC, Anything goes and stash/ (nail heads),
GGWSC, Anything goes,
TTCRD, Anything goes,
CFTH75, Anything goes,
NJC23, Anything goes.

Been A Busy Girl!

Well, Father Christmas will soon be flying over off to leave presents for all the good boys and girls!
Today I have been a busy girly and have also spent a little time in the "Crafty Cabin" I do seem to have left things till the last minute this year.

The little red bag was made using my Stampin Up Envelope  Board (I think that's what it's called) It took a 11x11" square of bazil to create it, it's big enough for a net of chocolate coins and a coupe of chocolate penguins.

It really is a great gadget! I just wish I'd given myself more time so that I could have added more decoration to the tiny money wallet/bags that I also made using 8x8" DP.

Then I got cracking making my mum a card, I know, it's similar to my card from the other day but this one has loads of glitter and a splash of red too!

I'm using these for the following challenges:-
ACC January, Anything goes, no cards, (Red bag)
PR13, Washi Tape,
LIM151, as week 143, twine,
Craftitude 55, Christmas sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by,

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Not Such A Baby Boy!

It's our Son's Seventeenth Birthday today, where the time has gone, I have no idea. I can't show you his card today as I'm keeping it for my Tuesday post so instead I'm going to share the gift wallet that I made to hold his
driving lesson vouchers.

The wallet is simply made from bazil but with a sliding wrap to keep it closed. The Image is "First Car Josh" one of the "Teenager" digis by LCI.

A Gift Of Money.

I was asked at work to make another money wallet to put a birthday money collection in, it's to give to one of my friends and I wanted to make it a bit different from my usual designs. Anyway, you know what us crafters are like,an idea springs to mind in the middle of the night and you cant wait to get to work.

This clutch bag style wallet actually started it's life as a large tag cut on the Cricut using Plantins Schoolbook, a 12x12 sheet of double sided paper gives a perfect result to slot the notes into.

I folded the tag twice to make the wallet and used some thin strips of 3d foam to stick the edges, giving a little extra depth to slide the notes in easily. The self adhesive magnets are the type you can buy on line to make fridge magnets with. I tried to just use a large brad but it didn't give enough surface to grab the magnet sufficiently but luckily the large flower type brad thingy (not sure what it's called but it's got about 6 legs instead of the 2 on a traditional brad)  I put this through a circle of card which I stuck over the hole which would have been the top of the tag then placed a diecut flower on the front. I hope this makes sense,if enough people are interested maybe I'll make a tutorial to explain it better.

I'm using this for the following challenges:-
FBC73,Anything goes,
Whimsie Doodles,Tag you're it,
Crafts and Me 61,Simples,
Creative Craft,Minimalistic,
EAC168, Little gift,
Papertake Weekly,When is a card not a card,
Hooked On Craft 12,Punches or Diecuts,

Money In My Pocket!

I'm really hoping that wherever you are that you have had a better day weather wise than we have in Kent today,it's rained on and off all day, there was even a thunder storm.
Just a quick post today sharing a money pocket made for giving dollars  as a gift to a work colleague.

I love these huge self adhesive pearls,I cut out some flowers from the papers and added them to the centres.

I stitched through the double layers of papers adding a button onto both sides of the paper to stop the stitches from pulling through. I then added some elastic to the lower edge using a button on the inside again to add strength.

I'm using this project for the following challenges:-
CYDA 24,Fancy folds,
Inspire Me Fridays,Anything goes,
DYSU 28,Sew,faux or real,
FBC55,3 of something.
Thanks for stopping by, have a good week,
