Long Time No See

I can't believe that this is my first post of 2018!
I suppose it's a bit too late to say "Happy New Year" but I hope that the year is going well for you so far!

Any way, I was loading some photos onto my computer and realised that I hadn't shared this ScanNcut card that I made way back in September 2017 so, here it is, quite simple really just lots of the inbuilt shapes and a bit of distress inks to dirty up the football.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Allsorts 456, Beginning with B, Ball,
Crafty Catz 405, Birthday,
CC133, Boys.

Just Fishing.

Thought I'd share the card I made for my fishing loving brother-in-law. I created the card blank using my ScanNcut, cutting another of the shape in silver card which I then inked, stenciled and scored to hopefully make it represent a rainbow trout.

I attacked my feather duster and used some wire and a paperclip to make my "fly" using some recycled silver thread for the "line" and then inked over a googly eye to make it look a more realistic colour.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Bloggers, Fly (Play on words),
Allsorts, recycle,(silver thread saved from gift wrapping)
SCT93, Special Occasion,
SPC12, Anything goes.

Happy Washi Tape

I forgot to share this card the other day, please excuse the slightly off focus, I took it on my phone just before I popped it in the post never checking the quality of the pic.
I know I've shared similar before but it just has to be said that the ScanNcut does make it easy when you're strapped for time and you need a card for a male. I saved this merged cut a month or so ago, all I needed to do was work out the size I needed and cut it as one and then cut each letter individually, simple when you can just scan in all of the paper remnants on one cutting mat and move each letter into place. The strips across the card are three different washi tapes. The one with the diagonal stripes I customised by picking up the print from an old book, such a simple technique you just lay the washi onto the page, rub the tape firmly then lift it up bringing the print with it, I've never done this before but it's something I will definitely do again.
Of course it's no longer sticky but that's easily rectified with a tape runner.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

DCD, Words,
W2SB14, Something different,
YSP, Anything goes/male card,
CCC265, Birthdays,
CFTC, Birthday,
STB, Anything goes,
TCCB102, Birthday,

Walk The Dinosaur

I bought this paper a few months back with my nephew in mind,he was so into dinosaurs that I thought it'd be perfect to make his birthday card with later in the year. He's been mad on dinosaurs for ages, can name them all, tell you what they eat in fact he is so very clever I think he could win Mastermind if they were his chosen subject! Anyway,he's recently ditched dinosaurs in favour of tortoises so this freed up the My Mind's Eye paper,Stomp "Best Buddies" so I thought I'd use it to make a card for another little man I know instead.

I used the reverse of the double to cut out the 3 which I mounted onto the card using foam pads. I cut out one of the dinosaurs and placed it also using a foam pad.It doesn't show in the photo but I used 3d glaze on his eye.I always feel like I've cheated when I haven't stamped, coloured or used die cuts on my card though I don't think this card is too bad.
I'm going to use this card for:-
Challenge Up Your Life 26,Celebrations,
Anyone seen any paper with Tortoise on?
Thanks for stopping by,have a great weekend,

A Helping Hand.

My sister-in-law enlisted my help yesterday to make a card on her behalf, now, Helen is really creative and turns her hand to anything, the reason that she'd run out of time was because she's making a giant snake for a local carnival and somehow managed to break her sewing machine in the process.

She dropped me this fab image by Mo's Digital pencil,I really must check these out,it was so lovely to colour though I'm not too good at colouring boy's hair.
I used this card for the following challenges:-
Sketch Saturday 110, great sketch to follow, perfect for this image,
Stamp Something Challenge, the colours of your flag, Red White and Blue of the Union Jack.
Think Ink Challenge 24,stitching,
Creative Card Crew, use die cuts,(Sizzix football die)
Digital Tuesday Challenge 66,Red, White and Blue
I hope that the card meets Helen's approval,

Happy Birthday!

It's my son's 14th Birthday today and as he's on a ski trip with his school I wanted to make him a card appropriate for the occasion.

I'm not sure who the papers were by as they are leftovers from a class scrapbook kit,was very pleased when I spied them in my drawer. Have used my very useful Autumn Max from Pink Gem designs again but hand cut some skis for him to hold to replace the conker (one of these days I'll make a card using the full image as it is so lovely) The sign post was on one of the papers so I added his name to it and stamped Have a Happy Day on the swing board below. I mounted it onto the card using foam pads. I hope he likes it,it's his first day of skiing today, hope he is so looking forward to it.
Thanks for stopping by today,
enjoy your day,
