A Rather Belated Birthday Card

It was the Lovely Ladybug Laurie's birthday last Thursday, and I forgot. Anyway, Laurie's, AKA "Designer Diva" the forgiving kind so almost a week later she has now received her card so I can show it to you.
I used one of the retro range of digi's by Kenny K,
I so enjoyed shading the flowing locks with the old Copics.
The papers are "Follow Your Heart" by My Minds Eye.
I also had a go at hand cutting pennant style flags, a change from my usual addiction of triangular bunting :)

Well, the Bank Holiday weekend is over and it's now time for a new challenge at Totally Ladybug Tuesday and this Time it's Pami's theme,

I hand cut, shaped and inky stitched the bunting placed it on the card and used Pinflair Gel to give dimension to the fussy cut the image.

Such A Star

What else was I supposed to do to congratulate our son on his amazing GCSE results!  I was going to add "U R" or "What" but my husband said that nothing else was needed.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
CIP, Back to school,
MSCC92, School,

Before I go I need to share what a terrible mother I am. Before I made this card, our youngest daughter asked me if I was going to make a congratulations card, when I said I probably would she came out with, that's good, you forgot to make one for me when I passed my 11+ the other year! How terrible did I feel! I just can't believe that it slipped my mind.
Not wanting to to be accused of favouritism I got cracking and made this card using my Marij Rahder stamp paperpiecing the snail's shell.

It made my daughter giggle!
Hybrid Chick 24, Paper piecing.

Hello Strangers!

Hi all, did you think I'd given up blogging? No way, I've just been on holiday for a fortnight and ran out of time so never got round to scheduling any posts other than my DT ones. I'll be making it up though this week as I've at got 3 DT cards ready to post but before I do, here's a Twinchie entry. I hadn't planned to make this tonight but I kind of got trapped in my craft cabin, the rain was so heavy and I hadn't a coat. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it lol!)

The flourish leaves were a RAK from Julie W. and the butterflies were stamped , cut out and shaped, placed on my Grande Nesting die cut card .

Please be sure to call by the lovely and talented Laurie's blog who is the Guest designer for this challenge and leave her some love.
