Snowflakes

Happy Tuesday!!!!!
The Ladybugs have a new theme today and this fortnight the hostess is Diane who wants to see  "Snowflakes"

Kerry gave each of the Ladybugs an acetate box to have a play with. I coloured my Mr and Mrs Snowman Delight, paperpiecing their hats and scarves.

I then covered 4x35g bars of chocolate to go inside, layering the papers and embossing the pearlescent white paper..

Green & Black's Organic Milk Chocolate 35g

I think this would make a perfect stocking gift or teacher's gift, coming out at under £4 for the four bars and the acetate box.

Here are the sizes and prices for the clear boxes in inches as they will be on the website...

4 1/8" x 4 1/16" x 1" - 45p each
5 5/8" x 5 1/2" x 1" - 60p each
4 7/8" x 6 5/8" x 1" - 60p each
6 1/8" x 6 1/16" x 1" - 70p each

A Break From The Patchwork

I thought I'd give you a break from the patchwork and share my husband's Birthday card. I used my Marij Rahder Stamp for the birds and drew and cut a tiny birthday crown from Kraft paper. The cream was embossed using a star folder, I pierced the edges using a pattern maker tool and tied twine around it before adding it to the card front.

The heart was cut using Plantins Schoolbook on the Cricut.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
DBD61, Anything goes,
PPC102, Anything goes,
OBGC, Anything but Christmas,(Marij Rahder Stamp)
CMC7, Embossing,
CFM, Anything goes,

Patchwork Part 2

Here comes another, lol! I just love this patchwork look at the mo, I haven't the patience for the real, work of art stitching kind, just the snippets of paper kind, I hope you approve as I think there could be a few more making their way to my posts. I should have taken a side view here as the scalloped circle frame is popped up on 3D pads. I should have thought it through a bit better, all those individual papers to create the patchwork scalloped frame, worth it I think but when I was tidying up after I had one of those lightbulb moments, now I can't wait to try it out as I'm sure it'll be quicker than the method I used.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
AGCB80, Stitches,
CRC, Punches and diecuts,
OBAGC, Anything but Christmas,(Old Punch)
Papertake Weekly, Flower Power,
TTCD44, Anything goes,
CC79, More than one punch or diecut,
TA40, Anything goes,
MIM 115, Anything goes,
TPE 174, Diecuts and punches.

A Different Shape

Evening, sometimes you just have to go with it, I'd shared that I was having a bit of a creative blip, I now know why,
I was putting myself under too much pressure, leaving the cards that I needed too late so that I HAD to create instead of giving myself time to get creative.
That was how I felt when I made this card, Under Pressure, especially as it was for a lovely friend who often orders cards from me.
I'm not entirely pleased with this but I have to tell you, that I have now got several cards ready to share and let's just warn you in advance that there's a lot of Patchwork involved!
Anyway, this little card has an embossed background which I highlighted by running round the edges of the circles with a clear glitter "Gelly Roll Pen", it doesn't show too well but it's sparklicious!  Hand cut bunting ,some new dies and some Prima flowers from a long neglected hoard and some large flat backed pearls.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
ATC26, Anything goes +sentiment,
Fairytale 54, Embossing,
Fussy and Fancy 75, Pearls and flowers,
SCT26, Use stash,
CYPC135, Hexagons.

The Honest Truth.

I was sorting through my drawer and found a card that I'd made last year but forgot to send. I'd loved that card and was rather pleased with the way the colouring of the poppy had turned out but it had got damaged so instead of throwing the card away, I trimmed it down and mounted it on to a 2" square of red card, "Remember" was trimmed from from design paper.

I'm using this for
Twinchie Challenge 9, "Hot Colours",
CCC48, Remember,
DD10, Remember,
MIM 114, Anything goes.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I know what you're thinking, and before you say it, no I haven't lost the plot but maybe Kerry has!
I've heard that The Queen bug herself gave one of her loyal subjects (well Susan actually) the commands to write up the details of the forthcoming sale, well, I do believe that she made a bit of a mix up with the wording, either that or she's been sniffing at the Copics again!

Surely there must be a mistake! Want my advice?

Make your list,

 Check it twice,

Whether you're friends have been naughty or nice,

Get ready with your order for Saturday and treat them to some of the gorgeous cling stamps on offer whilst stocks last or before Kerry comes to her senses lol!

And whilst you're there, why not treat yourself too, after all it'd be rude not to ;)

You'll be glad you stopped by!

Oops, That Was A Close One!

I really must pay more attention! I've just realised that it's Wednesday, lol! I'll be in Lou's bad books, almost forgot to post my Southern Girls DT card!

The theme this fortnight is

The sponsor this time is Delicious Doodles who provided this gorgeous digi and I have to say that I chose the most perfect one for the job as it looks beautiful without any real need to add colour, just a few drizzles of stickles to add some icy frost to the snow was all that was needed. I'm afraid I even cheated by using a die cut printed sentiment too, once the first card was made it was easy to knock up a few more following the simple design!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
TT203, Christmas,
Whimsy 53, Traditional Christmas,
EAC212, Embossing,
GGWSCC, Digi,
CMC7, Embossing,
OLLCC117, Christmas,
MIM114, Christmas.

Remember Me?

This has to be the longest  that I've gone without blogging for a long time, I don't know where the time's gone. It was half term for us last week and we spent a few days away, it was torture for me, don't get me wrong, I had a brilliant time and spending time with my lovely family is always good but I didn't take any crafting stash with me, not even a pencil or a pair of scissors!....... Never again!!!!  I've lost my mojo somewhere along the way, I can't colour and you won't believe how much paper shuffling I did before changing my mind completely and giving up the idea of  making a card altogether! I even made completely the wrong DT project initially but luckily, I had just enough time to make/ cover  this note pad and the bonus is that I already have a project ready for the following challenge, lol!

Anyway, before you run off, bored by all my waffle, the theme for this fortnight's TLT challenge hosted by Sally is

So,as long as you're project has something along those lines in it, this is the challenge for you!

I used a notebook, parcel tag, staples and a paperclip, stamping only part of  "Shopping Ruby by LCI" on to my tag before making a poor attempt at colouring her, sorry Kerry, I must try harder lol! I did enjoy collaging all the elements, I've had the scrap of "My Minds Eye, Follow your Heart" paper on my bench for ages, I've stroked it and used most of the double sided paper but this piece was just so special, it needed to wait for the perfect moment to be used! Ruby fitted the bill a treat, she so reminds me of my niece who I've made the note book for. Check out my crocheted Rose too, I made it last year and it's been in my drawer ever since!

I'm using my project for the following challenges:-
ATSC42, Things with wings,
