Reasonable Ruby's!

Evening all, now before I show you a card, you need to read this!

Please grab the poster and add it to your side bar, I have to say that the image that I've got to use is fantastical, I can't wait to show you!

Anyway, on to today's card, made some time ago but up until now I haven't been able to share as the recipient has only just received it. The image reminds me lots of her daughter and as the little girl's favourite colour is pink, I thought it would be a good choice, least I hope so as I know the recipient does't share her daughter's taste in colour!.
My gorgeous "Shopping Ruby" is still available whilst stocks last, in the 70% off stamp sale at LCI, it's not every day you get to buy a ruby for only £1.95.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
TG190, Wings,
CR 50, Anything goes with ribbon,
PCJ, Not square,
TPDC, Colour recipe,
CFAS55, Girly,
RR57, Wings,
MIM146, Anything goes.

I'm sure you know what it's like, you really need to tidy and get your bench in order but then you find the perfect remnant, along with another and before you know it,it's joined by the perfect stamp and sentiment.

Flowers And A Ribbon.

It's time for a new Ladybug Challenge!
This fortnight it's  Diane's time to host the challenge and her theme is

For my DT project I made a "Milk carton" style gift box, in fact it was more like a juice carton in size as I used an entire 12"x 12" sheet of bazzil, scoring it easily using my Fiskars cutter.

I just love how special the front panel looks with the gorgeous digi image "Bouquet Delights" an easy image to colour, I just added tiny coloured pearls and a ribbon along with a thin die cut circle to frame it's beauty.

I'm using this gift box for the following challenges:-
LTS8, No Cards,
MIM145, Anything goes,
MMM, Purples plus 1 neutral,

QC12, More than 1 fold.

Accidents Happen.

I was planning on today's card being a one layer card with just some decoupaged butterflies, however, accidents happen and when I went to stamp the butterflies with the script background by Kanban, I couldn't tell where the mask finished and the sponging began so impatiently I ran  a pen around the edges not realising that the ink had bled through to the card. I couldn't waste it so die cut the frame and removed the back of the card, to bring it together I pierced around the edges.
Hope this still qualifies for a "Less is more" entry!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
GNS37, 3 of something,
OG159, Wings,
PBAM, CAS,
LIM124, Hexagons,
CCC June, Wings.

My Favourite Of The Moment.

The "Three vases" image has to be my favourite of the minute, it's a quick and easy one to colour and yesterday it saved my bacon as it helped me make a twenty minute card that even with the tiny pearl centres I was able to send as a standard first class mail instead of the large letter price that frankly I begrudge paying for!
Anyway, I'm getting distracted, today I used the image for my LIM entry placing it behind my Spellbinders Hexagon cut frame, adding only a couple of pieces of snipped washi tape and the tiniest of buttons..

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
LIM124, Hexagons,
CC23, Digi,
MHP, CAS,
MIM144b, Anything goes.

Working My Way Through The Off Cuts.

Thank heavens for my Cricut as it saved the day with simply the press of a button. It made my FIL's card a fairly quick make.

I cut out the letters by using the "centre point" button so that I could fit the letters to fit exactly across the middle of my card, discarding the actual letters but keeping the remnants to replace later.

I then used a pencil to mark where the spaces left by the letters were and glued off cuts and washi tape over the area. The front was then placed using foam pads also adding foam pads to the remnants before fitting the back into their places. This was easily done by putting the cut letter back into their space, replacing the remnants and then removing the cut letters again. It sounds more complicated than it actually was, honest :).

Flowers To Match.

As soon as I saw the Forever Friends Kraft Notes paper pad I knew it was perfect for my lovely nieces birthday card.

You know me and patchwork, I love it so the cute little patchwork butterfly cried out to be cut out, I just added little hemp antennae dotting the ends with stickles.

It doesn't show in the photo but the flowers on the paper are also a patchwork style so out came my flower punch and some paper offcuts and patchwork flowers were created to embellish the card.

Fifteen!

Morning, and a very blowy one it is too!
Made this one last weekend,a variation on the normal, this time I cut a star shaped aperture and popped it up on foam pads. Before placing it on the front of my card, I drew the star onto the front of my blank, and glued various remnants just over it then popped the raised layer over it. Make sense?

I used foam dots to pop up the doubled, die cut numbers too.

Opposite's Attract At TLT

It's time for a new Ladybug challenge, have to say, I was a bit stroppy about this theme lol, don't know why but when I knew that the theme was to
from the colour wheel,
I couldn't decide which to use and the idea of only using those colours, well, it threw me into a tizzy.

Anyway, after a bit of straight talking by the lovely Lisa I eventually got my act together and decided on
Red and Green.

I used "Three Vases" LCI digi from the range
I teamed these with my rather scrummie new papers along with my first washi tape.

I do rather like making patchwork papers,
just love the look it gives.

Another card for my friend, this one for a man that likes gardening. "Wellies Delight"  by LCI fits the bill perfectly, it's a shame I used it for my Father-in-law's card last year, it's a perfect Father's day image. I just added a little stamping with a fern image around the digi.
