Embrace Your Lumps And Bumps

That was a close one, I've been so busy that I forgot that today's the day for a new theme at Southern Girls.

For this fortnight's challenge Lou wants us all to 

"Embrace Our Lumps And Bumps!"

Anyway, I made this tag book as a birthday gift for a friend, it's decorated simply with washi tape and tiny hearts.

I made the envelopes for my tag book using my wonderful new gadget, an "Envelope Punch Board" by Stamping-Up.

My oh my, if you think it's only for making envelopes, think again. I can't wait to get time to play properly with it and share some of the other things you can make using it.

Blue And White Ladybugs?

Good morning, where did the last two weeks go? 

maybe I blinked cos I missed it!

Anyway, here we are, Tuesday and time for a new 

Totally Ladybug Tuesday Challenge!

I used "Birthday Billie",doodling  around the edges of the focal image,matting it and placing it on an embossed background. I cheated just a tincey wincey bit and added a yellow centre  to my die cut flower.

Roll Out The Washi Tape.

I know I posted a very similar card to this a few weeks ago but you know what it's like, sometimes you find something you like and you just have to go back to the idea when you're short on time. This time however, I used a strip of washi tape and popped the image panel onto foam pads. (I love this Lavinia image!)A quick heads up, there's still a few days left if you want to join in with this months challenge and be in with the chance of winning a £40 spending spree!

Fancy Some Pudding?

My blog is feeling neglected, it's not that I haven't anything to show you, in fact I've quite a few things to share, it's more along the lines of not enough hours in the day to find the time to write any posts! Anyway, here's another of the demo cards that I made for Karen's craft taster evening a few weeks ago. Don't quite know why the berries  don't show as red, I assure you that they are! The berries in the pudding were made using the eraser on the end of a pencil and various suitable ink pads. The "sauce" was hand cut and shaped slightly before gluing around the card edge only. I can't remember who the holly stamp is by but I seem to remember buying it from "The Range" for 99p

Sunday Quickie.

It's been a while since I posted a "Sunday Quickie"

So here it is, exactly what it says on the packet lol, a quick card, made on a Sunday!

Sometimes it pays being a messy crafter, there was already a remnant of  narrow card and a folded card just waiting to be used. I just used my "Tattered Lace" snowflake, using the negative cut, placing the white waste into the middle by using a quickie glue pen into the remnants within the die and then putting the die back into the cut and using a pin to push them out so that the stuck perfectly into place.

Not Too Flashy For A Big Birthday,

My husband had a "Big" birthday last week, struggling with making just the right card, I remembered a card I had "Pinned" some time ago. As luck would have it, I had also received the most perfect die for my birthday a few weeks back, putting them both together and mixing them up a bit, here is what I came up with. A bit of paperpiercing, a bit of fake stitching some die cutting and glittered numbers.

My fave bit in real life is the tiny doodle stitched hearts that are only stuck in the middle so  pop up slightly from the rest.

 I tried taking a decent photo of them up close but it makes it look a bit dodgy :(

Simply Hot And Bright!

Another DT example for this months

"Hot and Bright"

 Challenge at Lavinia Stamps.

Yes my colours are hot and bright it's just the minimalistic approach lol! I used one of the new 

"Lavinia Zentangle Stamps"

Colouring it with Copics adding a few white gel pen dots

and doodling some strings with a Copic multiliner to hang my die cut letters from.

Hot Colours With Lavinia.

 "A pinch and a punch for the first of the month!" 

So that means it's time for a new theme at Lavinia Today.

November's theme is

"Hot, Bright Colours"

I sponged a selection of red, gold and yellow inks on to Papermill's  felt card which resulted in an almost leather look. I then stamped Lavinia's "Three Kings" image.
