Hic!

Some time ago I won this Spesch Wineglass digi in a challenge, she's a cutie,I just love her little parasol!

First time I've coloured flesh with my Polychromos, I have to admith that it took me ages to get a look that I felt passable and I'm still not entirely happy with the dimention I achieved.

Just keeping my card to a simple design, a hand cut, computer generated sentiment and popping the layer onto foam pads completes the card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

TTCRD, Anything goes,
CMC39, Fairies,
CCC39, Less is more,
MIM176, Anything goes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Happy 2014!
This is definitely  a scheduled post.

I'm going to be fluttering delicately into the new year, sharing not one but TWO DT cards for the first Lavinia Stamps Challenge of 2014.
The Challenge Theme is
Now, I'm more of a "Stickles" kind of girl so I thought I'd set myself the challenge of trying something different.

I read on Pinterest that you could add glitter to embossing powder so even though I'm a bit challenged when it comes to using a heat tool, I thought I'd give it a go, I would like to add that for the first time ever my heat tool behaved, usually it overheats mid way though an image.

I tried lots of variations, my favourite result being the one shown here where I used clear embossing powder and a mix on green and fine gold glitter on the butterfly stamped using black Versafine ink. The colour was created using a wet brush and some Cosmic shimmer that has been in my drawer unopened for several years.

This was the first DT card that I made, this one I created by making a mask so that I could ink pink and purple shades before stamping the Zentangle butterfly and adding stickles. I pierced a frame around the image then masked the centre  before stamping the Zen leaf.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

LIM 151,108,Paper piercing,
Sweet Stamps 149, Something new (new technique),

If you would like to enter the challenge using a Lavinia image but you do not have a blog, it is now possible to accept email entries!

Thank you for stopping by,
