Picture This

I wish I could paint! I can draw if you class drawing Top Cat when I was in my teens. I say draw Top Cat, what I could actually manage to draw was his head, complete with boater hat, that's where my talent ends!
Tracey Dutton of Lavinia stamps makes it possibly for anyone to create something of beauty,  all that you need is a bit of imagination, some inks and Lavinia Stamps.
For this card I inked my background using Oxide inks, masking off each area in turn to create the sky, sea, sand and grass.
I like to create my scene as if I'm sat under a tree, surrounded with foliage.
Here I used the following stamps:-
Bulrushes, I stamped them in green then went over the top using a brown Copic
Creeping Vine, stamped in a selection of green shades and
Willow. At each skyline edge I stamped  Stone texture to signify land along the coastline. I then used a white pen to hint at sun glistening on the foliage and touched the sea with stickles to add shimmer.
If you fancy creating a landscape with your Lavinia stamps, be sure to enter the challenge this month, you could find yourself with £40 to spend on more lovely Lavinia stamps!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Create A Landscape

The new Lavinia challenge has started and the challenge for July is

The good thing about challenges is that they can take you out of your comfort zone and make you try something different from your usual style. I have to say that I haven't created a landscape for quite a while but boy did I enjoy creating this card, I won't leave it so long next time.
I got so carried away inking and stamping, I hope I don't forget to list any of the beautiful stamps that helped me create this scene. I started by ripping my paper to create my mask before inking my sunrise/sunset. (I just couldn't make up my mind which it was.) I then inked my hills with a selection of greens before stamping Creeping Vine, I like to make my scenes look as if I'm viewing them from under trees. Keeping my mask in place I stamped Fir tree repeatedly at different heights, removed my mask then stamped a fabulous tree from Tree Scene. I then stamped lots of Meadow Grass. I stamped the Pheasant, masking and stamping again to add another rung to the fence. I then stamped the Midnight Meandering bunnies
and finally my cute little Snail I added some white gel pen to add a glint of sun to my stamping.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
C4C392 ,Create a scene.

We would love you to ink up your Lavinia stamps and join us in the challenge this time, you could find yourself with £40 to spend on more Lavinia stamps!
