What a pickle I've got myself into, me and technology........ just don't go there, please ignore that my post looks a little different from normal,I'm learning to use Picasa to edit my photos,Julie from Scrapbook Sisters kindly gave me a lesson but I've forgotten how to save my edited photos to my picture library and have had so many attempts to do it that I've now got a headache. Somehow I've managed to change the size of the photo I'm posting, how,I've no idea!
Anyway, something a bit different for me today,I enjoyed entering the Less is more challenge last week and thought I'd enter this week's challenge, the challenge asks for a one layer card to include embossing,I don't like heat embossing as I always seem to manage to curl my card so I tried to think of a way to incorporate dry embossing into a one layer card along with stamping. I used a hole punch in on thick scrap of card and punched 3 evenly spaced holes. I wanted to draw a frame on my card so decided on the position and marked where the embossed dots should go.
I then used my ball tool and the punched card to achieve what I was after. I then drew my frame and doodled around the line using a purple Sakura glitter gel pen, masked off the outside of the frame and used Momento's grape jelly ink mad to stamp 3 flowers.I then added a spot of stickles to the embossed dots, What do you think? a bit different for me,I might have another go at this challenge later in the week.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:-
Less Is More 15,Embossed one layer,
I'm having a bit of blogging trouble at the mo and can't seem to link my card, will give it a go later,

Great card Julie - still thinking about my card!
You did it, girlfriend! Its lovely too. :-)
I find flickr the most user friendly for photo editing/ watermarking and storing, myself.
Julie, i use picasa to edit and store all my pics. once you've clicked on save you can upload your blog pics from "my pictures" as usual as picasa saves into there also.Hope this makes sense.ie any changes, fill light, shadows etc you make in picasa, once you click on save, the saves are saved in "my pictures" as well. Then you can upload from my pictures as usual. Not really a geek myself either, lol. xx
I think it's genus! Way to think outside the box.
