Ok,I have to be honest,I'm so not sure about tonight's LIM card.I got my speedball out for a quick roll, note to self, must try harder! maybe a little trip to the lovely Brenda's blog, she is the queen of the speedball lol! I haven't ever used a silhouette stamp before but when I looked through stamp collection I found this Santa and sleigh stamp so thought I'd show it some ink. Can anyone share with me which is the best kind of ink for a silhouette stamp, I tried a multitude to get these results but I'm sure there must be an ink specifically for the purpose. I added a touch of stickles to the moonlight just to give my boring card a little "Christmas"
LIM 42,Silhouette.
I'm hoping I get a little time to make another LIM entry as I've had an idea for a card that's more up my street since making this Saturday.
The reason for the post title? If you ever watch the Programme "Heartbeat" keep an eye on the Opening Title's skyline as Father Christmas can be seen flying across the sky in most of them! apparently they added it in for a Christmas episode and then forgot to remove it! It might be the closing title's now I think about it??? just take a look anyway:-D
Thanks for stopping by,
Julie.x

Just gorgeous,love the image.xxx
Julie, this is wonderful---who makes the stamp?
I think it depends on the stamp (rubber or clear) as to which ink works best. Roughening it up on a stamp cleaner or with a pencil eraser and then just repeatedly inking & cleaning usually gets all the residue off to get a nice clean inked image. I think it looks great from here! I need a good Santa silhouette and I think this is it!
The stickles have created a lovely effect - great card design and interesting about Heartbeat - not that I ever watched it, lol x
oh i love that stamp!!

This looks super!
It depends what kind of stamp you are using when selecting an appropriate ink. If you have a clear stamp there is an ink called Clearly Better which works really well with them. Versafine Onyx Black is also a great inkpad for solid images.
Much is down to personal preference.
Thanks so much
