18 Shield

I thought I'd make a different style of shaped card today using the Brother Scan N Cut. Instead of the
usual number card that I make,
I made a shield shaped card with the use of the weld button.

also welded a scroll to the bottom of the inside in order to make it stand up .

A bit of embossing, some inky stitching and some distress inks, some welded numbers plus an 8 and some foam pads complete my card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Fitztown 42, Anything goes,
TTPH48, No right angles,
PCC13, Anything goes.

Book, Bath And Bed!

Ages ago I dropped the book I was reading in the bath, I'm sure I'm not the only person to have ever done this but you know what us crafters are like, we can't throw anything. Luckily the quick dunk it received didn't ruin it completely, it just fell into sections and only the cover and a few pages from the front and back had to be disposed of. I've used some pages before to make flowers from and cut the odd word from it to add to collaged cards.

Anyway, this week's theme at Less is More had me flicking through what was left and finding suitable words to punch hearts from. The fragile pages needed to be stuck to copy paper to be strong enough not to get stuck in the punch.
Here's what I came up with.

One For A Girl

I'm still getting the requests for 18th birthdays.
I had to make two of them yesterday but have saved the other for tomorrow.

The trouble I have with taking photos in the daytime is that the colours don't show up so well, what looks blue here is in fact more of a lilac or lavender shade.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
CATW2, Anything goes,

Over The Edge!

I love the way this Lavinia Fairy stands with her arm held up, I know it's supposed to be as if she's about to sprinkle fairy dust but I think it's the perfect height to dangle things from. I've hung a star from her hand before but today I stamped a heart and doodled a string to dangle it by. It doesn't show in the photo but the heart is sparkly and filled in with glossy accents. I used a white pen to add dots to the stamping.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Simply less is more, One layer, off the edge,
ICB58, CAS,
OMCC12, Wings.

A New Theme For The Ladybugs!

Morning!!!!!!
It's Tams turn to host the new challenge today and the theme that she's chosen is

The Ladybugs are all using
I thought I'd use him in a different way, just use his arms.
That's the great thing about Digi's, I just sized my images really large, reversing one of them. Using word it's easy to manipulate the image, hanging it over the edge of the page so that only the arms are shown on the card to print out.
I created a gatefold card, using a square nestability to remove  a section from each side.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
CC, Manly men,
OSAAT, Digi,
PIO23, Use patterned paper,
TCP, Men,
TCCB201, Crop it.

Before you go, take a look at what's coming up in two weeks time! More ladybug excitement!

One Layer Neutral.

Just a quick post from me this evening. I've been having a play using a mask I bought a few weeks back. I then stamped my ????? I think it's more of a moth than a butterfly, added some colour with a Copic pen and then gave it a thick outline using W3 before following the line round again using my blender pen, this makes it look softer and gives the impression that it's lifting off  the page

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
LIM175, Colour challenge (The colour of my bedroom)
Allsorts 262, One layer,
SWTD, CAS,
CCC264, S (stencil)

Topped Off With A Butterfly.

Me again, Just realised that I left this off my previous post!

Another project for my Lavina Stamps DT
The New challenge theme being,

I made the box myself with the help from my Nestability scalloped circle and circle die and a scalloped border punch. I know you cant see any scallops created by the border punch but by scoring close to the dip in the scallop I was able to fold each scallop and glue a straight length of card around the circle to create my tubes.
The card is in fact grey pearlescent which has been inked with various colours before being stamped with a selection of Lavinia images.

I'm using this gift box for the following challenges:-
ACC June/July, Non Card, Anything goes,
CFTH21, Anything goes,
MTTC250.

Beads And Gems

Morning, did you get to see the amazing cards that were entered into last months challenge at Lavinia?

So many inspiring projects.
The theme for this month is

I bought some masks a few weeks ago and thought I would use them along with my Lavinia stamps, I double stamped the Dandelion, adding  white gel pen to the stem and seed beads along with a sprinkling of glamour dust.

The door hanger I started a few weeks ago, it's been sta on my desk and I've been gradually adding to it as I felt the flow lol! In the beginning I had planned to stamp the gorgeous Luna onto the inked background but when I saw the recent magazine giveaway stamps, I felt that this fairy was much better suited.

After stamping her using black Versamark I used a mask to sponge through to create the star which I tidied up by dotting the edges with a white gel pen then decided to add dots all over the star to soften it. My black fine liner and a doodle, hung the star from her finger.
I punched the flower from white card, masked four of the petals and stamped the dandelion image onto each petal in turn. The gem flower centre has been disguarded in my drawer for years , the stars are highlighted with gorgeous Swarovski Crystals.

I'm using these projects for the following challenge
Cardmania 48, Flowers:-
CFTH21, Anything goes,
TTPH44, Make your own background,
ABC,M, Monochrome,
FFC, No cards.
