Don't look too closely at the colouring though,I'm trying out some different card, I thought it was going ok till I used my blender to remove a tiny blip and it ended up bleeding a large splodge over the line! So annoying!
I think I must have felt a bit Autumnie(is that a word?) when I made this card,it started with the Basic Grey paper and led on from there,I stamped my Pink Gem Apple Mimi and coloured her to match using Copics (badly) I distressed the edges of the card using Antique linen then used some brown stickles. The rather huge looking buttons are flat backed self adhesive pearls which I touched with colour,I think I cast a shadow when I photographed them as they look unevenly coloured in the photo. I cut some swirls using a Revolution flourish die and placed toning shades of gems onto them.I find that the easiest way to attach lace to a card is to use a tape runner along the edge before placing it,here I used a toning strip of paper to lay it on first,I then folded the ends around it,removing the bulkier pieces so that it glued fairly flat to the front of the card but still leaving enough to make sure it stays secure. If anyone has any handy tips on how they attach their lace I'd love to hear them,it's good to share :) What do you think of the greeting? I found it in the drawer, had no idea I had it.

Lovely card! Great colouring, can't for the life of me see where it splodged. Thanks for the tip re attaching lace, I too find lace has bulky bits that won't behave.
Ger x.
Your card is really lovely - nice use of the pearls for buttons! Thanks for playing with us at Stampin' Royalty.
Hi don't know if it would work - I'm not a frilly person ;) but woodware have this lovely stuff for using with vellum that is lots of lovely micro dots of glue and the way it works it would only pick up on the parts where there is the lace material. Only concern would possibly be the weight of the material, but then vellum isn't exactly feather light. Just a thought.
What is it about crafters, such terrible perfectionists who feel the need to highlight errors!
Great card, I like the colours and her military style buttons. Lovely work. Are you going to show us your ribbon organisation? I'm curious (alright nosy!)
Lovely card. those buttons look really good.Super cute little girl, lovely colours. Sometimes if i'm using bulky lace i don't fold it over, i just cut it off neatly at the edges and add a bit of clear glue on the very edge to stop it fraying. Di.x
You did a great job with the colouring in. Great job with the rhinestones and pearls. Thanks for playing with us at Stampin' Royalty.
gorgeous card Julie......love her 'buttons'....thanks for joining FFF!
I use tacky glue or doublesided adhesive and sometimes just glue to adhere my lace.
