That Was A Close One

It's been a while since Ladybug Crafts Ink released the Teenager range, and although Kerry treated us all with the Beer Belly Man a few weeks back, we haven't had a good old fashioned  New Release Celebration Blog Hop for quite a while.  You won't want to miss this one, if the image that I've been given is anything to go by, you are in for a treat!
Please take the poster and add it to your side bar as a reminder, you won't want to miss out on the chance of winning one of these beauties!

Any way on to today's card, I happened to glance at the calendar and realised I needed a card urgently, so after enjoying the paperpiecing earlier in the week, I thought I'd do another CAS card, this time using Wine Stool Nikki, luckily it didn't take long to make as I needed to drop it off at lunch time.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Copic Marker Europe, Black hair,
Crafts and Me 90, Birthday,
Papercraft Star, Cool Summer Drink
Victorine 37, Happy Birthday,
LIM73, Paper piecing.

Don't forget to grab the poster!

Anything Goes.

It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge theme at Scrapbook Sisters.

I'm not sure what you'd call this kind of card, it's very different for me but I so enjoyed making it.

Apart from the dragon fly, all of the images are from free clip art from Graphics Fairy, I just fussy cut them out, slightly shaped them and distressed them using TH. ink pads. I added plasterers  Scrim tape to the right side of the card front, embossed and distressed a tag and got out my stapler to add the lace and ribbon. I used a pattern makers tool to pierce 2 rows of holes down the edge and placed all of the elements including the handmade flower using pinflair gel.

One of those cheap date stamps was perfect to add the recipients birthday to the papers. I am so going to make more cards in this style, I love it!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Frilly And Funky, Texture,
Papercraft Star, Embossing,
PTT74, Anything goes,
Crafty Cardmakers 71, Create flowers,

Two Piece Winter Warmers.

I can't believe I found myself making a Christmas card but I so enjoyed yesterday's CAS Paper piecing that I just needed to make another, my lovely "Gayle Bond" snowman just cried out to have a paper hat and scarf! My image is stamped but the image is only available as a digi now. I ripped some snow for him to stand on and punched 3 snowflakes, added glossy accents, stickles, (which doesn't show up much in the photo) and 3 tiny gems to complete the card.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
52CCT June, Glitter,
CHNC78, Get Inky,

Piece Man!

Evening, hope you've all had a good day, we've been out shopping and I have to say I'm absolutely shattered!
I started this card whilst I was waiting for the family to get ready earlier, I have to say that I really enjoyed the paper piecing and I'm definitely going to do this CAS style again.
The little cutie and the sentiment are from the set of stamps "Mary and friends" by Woodware, she really lends herself to paper piecing. I added a tiny bit of colour and a little shading and shadowing using Copics. The flower is slightly shaped and placed with a touch of pinflair gel under the petals. The flower centre is a mix of liquid pears, flock and glitter. I have a feeling that my camera may be about to bite the dust as the colours look a bit out and I noticed that when I took the photo the viewing screen kept changing colour. I do hope not! :(

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
LIM73, Paper piecing,
CFC58, Pink,
2Sisters 97, Anything goes,
With Attitude 16, Anything goes,
Delightful Challenges, Anything goes.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Hardly A Harley!

I just love this image, I haven't coloured him up in a while though as I've already used him for most of my Bike Riding family. However, when talking to our neighbour my husband discovered that it's his birthday today and as he rides a rather lovely Motorbike I thought it was a perfect excuse to ink my Marij Rahder stamp up again!
Quite a straight forward card, just a bit of layering up of some papers that I've had squirrelled away for years ,a tag, a brad, some string, some hemp and some inky stitching, card complete.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
CFASCB29, Men,
Crafts And Me 89, Anything goes,
MMCS62, About the boys,
RCC58, Heavy metal,
Try It On Tuesday, Anything goes,

Oh Baby Baby!

Evening, it's Team Lou's team up for this fortnight's challenge at Southern Girls and the theme this time is
I have the urge to rap now, Lou must have listened to the same music as I did when I was rather younger but S Salt and Pepper definitely are not here lol!

It's a brilliant week for sponsors this time with some of my particular favourites, check out the challenge blog for full details. I used the rather lovely "Bluey" digi papers by Eiglassing and "Sweet Dreams" by The Paper Shelter.

I hung my coloured image from the aperture cut using my Nellie Snellen frame dies,I also flipped the image so that the reverse of the cut looked just as cute as the front if the suspended image happens to swing around. On the back of the card I added the remnants from when I cut the aperture as a place to write my greeting.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Crafty Creations 175, Baby,
Divas by Design 40, Diecut,
MMCSC62, About the boys,
Papertake, Bingo left hand,vertical,
Daisy Doodles 62, Anything goes,

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend!

The theme at Scrapbook Sisters this week is
This can be the shape or gems, I chose to use both for my DT card.
I cut the shapes from glitter film and a long neglected diamond Quickutz die. I then punched some flowers and added Swarovski Crystals to their centres. I stamped the sentiment and used an ultra thin strip of pink bazil which I cut into pieces to underline and not cover the words, adding the tiniest of crystals to one end. A light brush of a pink chalk eye completes the card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Papertake Weekly, Bingo,horizontal centre,
LIM72, Shiny.

Double Trouble With The Ladybugs.

Before I start I need to apologise for the photo quality here, I took it around a month ago and don't ask me why but I must have had a brain storm when I used a blue background!

It's the lovely Laurie who is hosting this fortnight's challenge at "Totally Ladybug Tuesday" and her theme of choice is
It doesn't necessarily need to be two images, can be two buttons, two flowers etc, so long as there's two of something, Laurie will be delighted to see it!

I used two Magnum stamped images, Tiptoeing Lily Magnum and Add on Magnum I coloured one kitty a Tabby and one Ginger.

The numbers were cut using the Cricut and Plantins Schoolbook. I added a scalloped circle to the back of my card to write the message on, three tiny punched flowers and three little pearls.

The bunting was hand cut, stamped using tiny alphabet stamps and inky stitching added, some gorgeous swarovski crystals were added to the punched flowers along with some twists of ribbon.

Going Dotty!

I'm sorry, another scalloped card from me today, I just can't help myself.

This time I'm using a gorgeous Meljen image
that I won a while back but have only just got around to using.

A generous amount of stickles, some blobs of glossy accents and a tag with a charm complete the card, oh except for the stamped Birthday sentiment on the inside and the Tag that was adapted from 2 LCI stamps.

Hang Out The Flags!

The theme this week at Scrapbook Sisters is

I coloured up a Pure Innocent Digi image, fussy cutting it out and replacing the bird (on the original digi) with a stamped Balloon and placing a parcel by the birthday girl's feet. After adding glossy accents I added a glittered peel off number from my long forgotten pile, wish I'd thought to add this prior to adding the gloss as I think it would look better. The Bunting is randomly cut from off cuts of bazzil, edges are inked, stitching drawn on and letters stamped to make the birthday girl's name.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Got The Coffee Covered

A plea from my lovely sister-in-law to teach her to crochet got me searching for my hooks where I found a project I started last year. Anyway, between me guiding her through a few stitches which I might add, she grasped brilliantly, I finished off my pot cover.

What do you think, I originally made it to fit a baked bean tin, my husband thought I'd gone quite mad when I placed it over a full tin to try it for size and told him I was going to do the same for the tinned spaghetti lol!  Anyway, I remembered I'd thrown a coffee tin earlier and although a little narrower it still fits fine.

I have no pattern to share, it was out of my head though I have seen similar designs for the flower here.

I'm using my creation for the following challenges:-
Inspire Me Friday 62, Anything goes,
MAWTT, Anything but a card,
Creatalicious 34, Top line Bingo,
RRR49, Flowers and ribbon,

With A Flourish!

Just a quick post with my entry for this week's challenge at Less Is More. I stamped and masked the butterfly then stamped the flourish in pink. I then masked the outside and gently sponged colour onto the butterflies.  The sentiment is stamped in pale lilac then shadow stamped in a darker shade, I'm wishing I'd only stamped it with dark as it makes my eyes go funny looking at it  but it's a pretty cool effect. I added some stickles to the flourish for some sparkle.

Less Is More 71, One layer with flourish.

Red, White And Blue

Morning all, what an amazing long weekend we were treated to for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee!  What a Lady she is!
With the celebrations in mind Julie has set the new challenge theme at Scrapbook Sisters as
We sure have seen lots of the colour combination here in the UK with all the Bunting and flags that have been flying!

Now, I have a confession to make, I usually make my DT cards a week in advance but found myself panicking on Monday evening as  I'd got mixed up with my days and as we were going up to London yesterday I had to make a card PDQ so my card is really simple. I also need to appologise for not getting round to comment on the huge amount of entries that there were last week either, I don't know where the week went.

The centre of my flower is actually a button with tiny pearls in the centre covered with glossy accents to hold them in place.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Creative Craft, Red, White and Blue,
CYDA46, Red, White and Blue,
LIM70, Red, White and Blue,
Card Makin Mamas, Punches,

Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat, Where Have You Been?

I've been to London to look at the Queen!

Actually, in reality I've been to London to look at a screen lol!
The crowds were amazing and we ended up stopping in Trafalgar Square and watching the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations there as the Mall was already full to capacity.  I don't think my photo is too bad considering  I cropped it from my big screen photo.

I have never felt so proud to be British!

Hope you have a great week,

Totally Ladybug Tuesday

It's Tams "Big Birthday" challenge theme this fortnight at Totally Ladybug Tuesday and as a special treat Kerry  has given us a New Release image "Beer Belly Man" isn't he fun! I can't believe that Kerry's practically giving him away at only £1.50!  I aim on giving him a Hawaiian shirt next time I use him but it wouldn't have suited the recipient this time lol!

I flipped the image before printing him out, coloured him with Copics and fussy cut him out. I added some glossy accents to his pint and gave him a birthday badge using some peel off numbers and a domed sticker.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Here Come The Boys 28, Anything goes,
OSAAT116, Use a digi,
Little Claires 21, Male,

A Twinchie Bit Of Fun!

Today is the launch of a new challenge and I have to say that I've been eagerly waiting for it to begin since I read about it on Eileen's blog the other week.
So here is my first "Twinchie"!
What do you think? it's a tiny creation that measures
2" square. The theme for the launch is "Best of British" and for anyone who thinks they haven't got anything suitable, I actually cut my tiny bunting from the newspaper after I'd given it the glossy accent treatment to make sure it didn't fall apart. I thought that with all of the Jubilee Celebrations that no street party would be complete without a plate of cakes!

I'm using this for the following challenges:-
SUYT1, Best of British,
MIM91, Anything goes.

Just a quick update, the "Show Us Your Twinchie" challenge blog is having some teething troubles, blogger isn't playing ball so they've had to come of air whilst they try to sort it out. Eileen promises she will let me know as soon as they get it sorted.
