Anything Goes.

It's Wednesday and time for a new challenge theme at Scrapbook Sisters.

I'm not sure what you'd call this kind of card, it's very different for me but I so enjoyed making it.

Apart from the dragon fly, all of the images are from free clip art from Graphics Fairy, I just fussy cut them out, slightly shaped them and distressed them using TH. ink pads. I added plasterers  Scrim tape to the right side of the card front, embossed and distressed a tag and got out my stapler to add the lace and ribbon. I used a pattern makers tool to pierce 2 rows of holes down the edge and placed all of the elements including the handmade flower using pinflair gel.

One of those cheap date stamps was perfect to add the recipients birthday to the papers. I am so going to make more cards in this style, I love it!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Frilly And Funky, Texture,
Papercraft Star, Embossing,
PTT74, Anything goes,
Crafty Cardmakers 71, Create flowers,
Incy Wincy, Anything goes,
Make it Monday Kraft, Anything goes,
Pile It On 26, Make your own embellishment,
Quirky Crafts 13, Handmade flowers and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by,
Julie.x

The sewing machine must have been tough to fussy cut, wow ! AND I was just crazy about the date stamp, I have one of those and now wonder why I haven't used it the same way. Great Idea !! I am so glad you joined us this week for our Papercraft Star anniversary !!

I so love the 'shabby chic' of this card! I long to learn the technique - I try and try and end up with either too much or too little...I can't get the hang of it! But I LOVE the look. Using the staples - genius! You sent me scrambling to the 'google' - had to look up scrim tape and pinflair glue! I feel so smarty now! The tape on there fab! I must go to the hardware store now! I will be looking at the 'man' stuff with much more appreciation!
