Happy Ladybug Tuesday! it's time for a new challenge and the theme for this month is

For my DT card I used the Magnum Add Ons stamping them on to a selection of pink off cuts and cutting them out, shaping them slightly and placing them on my card using PinFlair Gel. The number and sentiment are from the aptly named set
The bunting is hand cut and inky stitched before adding the name which I punched using Quickutz "Moxie Alphabet"

A Little Apology

Evening all, I've been a busy girly, so much to do and not enough time to do it in, I'm sure that there's plenty of you around that are in the same boat. I had several birthday cards needed in a hurry and unfortunately, well to cut a long story short I never got my Southern Girl's DT card made for the Angels and Fantasy challenge that is now almost into its second week, please check out the Challenge blog for full details of the amazing sponsors this time, huge apologies to the rest of "Team Lou" !

Any way, I thought I'd share with you one of the cards that I needed from the list of family birthdays this week. I made a similar one a while back and when I made this one I also made a brighter, funkier version for a younger family member, I'll share that one at a later date..

I'm using this card for the following challenges:_
BMC45, Shaped card,
Tuesday Alchemy, vintage,
Make It Monday 99, Anything goes,

Midway Blog Hop Reminder at LCI.

A quick reminder for you today that there's a

on at Totally Ladybug Tuesday, this is a four week challenge this time as Kerry is giving us Ladybugs a bit of a break over the summer, LOL! Summer, who are we kidding, I even found myself wearing a cardi yesterday and I don't think my Umbrella has ever been used so much as it has these last few weeks.

I was treated to a pack of  pink Spectrum Noire pens at the weekend so I used them here, have to say that at first it felt extremely strange using the firm tips to colour with instead of the brush tips of the Copics but I'm definitely going to invest in some more, the thin tips were very precise and using the Copics blender and some firm pressure on the paper with my fingertip, any mistakes were easily rectified. Wish it would have been as easy to rectify my heavy handed addition of stickle as unfortunately it caused the printer ink to bleed slightly:(

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Hooked On Crafts 22, Christmas,
Lollipop 84, Christmas,
Love To Create 24, 3 of something,
MIM84, Anything goes,
TSG165, Christmas,
That's it from me for today except,

A Twinchie Bit Of Summer

I've not felt much like crafting this last week, in fact I've only nipped into my cabin to collect a couple of cards that needed posting. I have so much to get done this week and it's the last week of term, time to say goodbye to 50+ little characters as they begin their new life at "Big School"
Friday will be a sad day!

A quick look at the new challenge at "Show us your Twinchies" inspired me to grab my scissors and glue and make another tiny piece of art to put on my "Crafty Cabin" wall.

I had the perfect piece of paper to cut in to, "Paradise Beach" by Echo park, the inspiration for this came from a photo that I took of my feet whilst sat under a palm tree in Barbados a few years back, it certainly wasn't inspired by the British Summer that we are supposed to be having.

I'm using this Twinchie for the following challenges:-
Opus Gluei 135, Holidays,

Sew Simple.

Evening all, I made this card a few weeks back for the lovely Lou of "Southern Girls" fame, she'd been in hospital for a little op and I thought that as she is also a dab hand at sewing that this lovely Meljen image would be perfect along with a computer generated sentiment. I used my Nesties to cut out all of the patchwork squares which I distressed and inky stitched, apart from matting and layering the image and sentiment, the card is complete.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Catch The Bug, Anything goes,
Secret Crafter 193, Pastel shades,
Cards With Attitude, Anything goes,
Inspire me Fridays, Anything goes,
OCL124, Diecuts,
Papertake Weekly, Anything goes.

One Stamp

What an amazing amount of entries there was last week for the Anything goes challenge at Scrapbook Sisters! I'm sure that this week's theme will be just as popular!

So for my DT card I used my lovely LOTV stamp and just to highlight that it was for a Birthday, I added a tiny calendar with my friend's birthday date on it.The colour theme initially was inspired by the tag on one of my new summer T shirts, the twisted threads are just so scrummy, I need to treat myself to something else in the range as there's some different threads on some of them lol! they are scrummy though, thank you M&S! Luckily I found the perfect colour match in my Polka dot papers. Where the threads were tied they ended up with a gorgeous tassel of the mixed colours, I couldn't bring myself to hide them so instead used them in the centre of my bloom with the addition of a button. The seam binding was coloured with Copics to match the papers.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Cupcake 199, Bright as a button,
Fashionista, Winged things,
MG, Bright colours,
DVC35, Things with wings,
Anything goes, Birthday, polka dots,

Thanks for stopping by,
enjoy the rest of your day,

Time For A New Release!

HAPPY BLOGHOPPING LADYBUG TUESDAY!

and there's a new Ladybug joining us for the first time today, the lovely Susan, she's a brave lady joining us mad bunch !

You should have found your way here from the lovely Pami's blog, if you haven't you need to make your way back to the "Challenge Blog" to start the hop.

On to my card using the rather gorgeous and girlie,
don't you think it's fabulous!

I coloured the image using Copics and added a computer generated sentiment, I decided to go CAS as the image is so fabulous that a complicated layout really isn't necessary.

I just added a little glossy accents and a touch of silver gel pen to some of the clasps.

Now I'm going to let you into a secret, I am not the kind of girl that has a handbag for every outfit and the nearest I have ever got to a designer handbag is the one I was given on my birthday from Clarkes so hardly designer lol!
Seeing the lovely range hanging from my tree, got me googling"Designer Handbags"
Boy oh boy was I shocked at how much a designer handbag would set a fashionable girlie back, shocking, when you think that you can be the proud owner of these beauties here for only £1.75

Want to know which one's my favourite?

It just has to be this one, perfect for every Christmas party, I need one!

The next stop on the hop is Michele but before you leave to admire the gorgeousness of her creation you need to make a note of my letter!

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
CBN1, Anything goes,
Lollipop 84, Christmas,
MIM96, Anything goes,
PanPastel 25, Use a digi,
Paper Players 102, Christmas,
The Ribbon Girl, Girlie,(you wouldn't see a boy holding these beauties)
Squirrel And Fox 21, Christmas,

Twinchie Fun

The Twinchie challenge has now got it's blog sorted and have re-launched today. As I enjoyed making the mini piece of art last time, I found myself making a couple more to stick on the wall of my craft cabin. As luck would have it, the new challenge happens to be "Anything Goes", perfect or what!

Treats In Store!

Kerry (of LCI Fame) is giving us crafters a little treat,  thought you all needed to know so that you can give the old credit card a bit of a bashing ;)

So seeing as you are here, I thought you might like to see one of the many cards that I've needed over the last weel or so.
This one was for a lovely crafting buddy, Wendy who had her birthday on Thursday. It's a simple design using one of the LCI floral delights images, 2 ribbons layered together, a scalloped border and some DP remnants from a class project ages ago. I coloured the image using Copics and added a generous amount of stickles, a little doodling and some pink dot stickers.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Allsorts 161, In bloom,
Crafty Calendar June, Flowers in bloom,
Digi Days, Girly,
MAWTT, Birthday,
Crafts And Me, Birthday,
Ruby's Rainbow 31, Black, White + one,
Stampavie 171, Lots of flowers.

Have a lovely Sunday!
