Quick Card Needed

It's surprising how quickly you can put a card together when you put your mind to it! I discovered that my friend's son was celebrating his 18th Birthday today so needed a card quickly. So I cut 18 using my Cricut and the plantin's schoolbook cartridge, once as normal and once as a shadow. layered up my papers, gluing just around the edges of my layers, placed a scalloped square in the centre and with a bit of lucky placing, removed a square aperture  using my nestie square through my cuttlebug. I then cut a larger scalloped square, removing another square from the centre and placing a piece of acetate not quite as big as the scalloped square. I glued them together then placed them on the inside front of my card. The shadow numbers were placed on the inside of the acetate and the normal cut numbers were placed on the front. The whole card took around half an hour to make. It's surprising what you can achieve when you're up against the clock and you have the right tools.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Totally Papercrafts 88,Acetate,
Charisma cards 41,In stitches,
PDCC103,Colour recipe,
Whimsy 10,Die cuts or punches,
Color throwdown 163,colour.
Thank you for stopping by,
Julie.x

Awesome card! I am not smart enough to figure out the technology behind it - but smart enough to know I love the colors, the acetate - and how talented you are! You never cease to inspire me.

Sorry for the absence from blogland. I've missed you my friend.

Awesome card! Even better that it was a quick one! I'm amazed! When I find out I need a card the same day, I go out and buy one! Next time, I'll have to give something like this a try!! TFS!!
