My New Toy

I'm such a lucky girlie, my lovely husband bought me a new toy, a Grande Calibur!

Thought you might like to see the first card I made using it. A card ordered by a work colleague.Aren't easel cards just a pain to photograph, the photo really doesn't do the card justice, I have to say I was more than a little pleased with my first large die cut card. The stamped images are by Papermania and were coloured using Copics.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

CRAFT155, Easel,
Delightful Challenge, Add ribbon,
Dutch Dare 165, Shaped card,
Sassy Studio 125, 3 of something,
PSC32, Banners.

It's A Doodle

I love a bit of a doodle so wanted to make an entry for this week's LIM challenge. Unfortunately my camera is trying to spoil things for me and my photo looks less than clear (or is it my eyes???)  This little cutie and the sentiment is from Ladybug Crafts Ink, I bought the set a while back and this is the first time I've inked it up. I stamped the image over the edge of the 3x3 card and doodled around the edge of the card using a copic fineliner.
By the way, Kerry had a few technical problems so has decided to extend the half price cling stamp sale to allow for the early troubles, what a result for the rest of us ;)

I'm using this card for the following challenge:-
LIM63, One layer doodling.

Bring Me Some Figgy Pudding!

Oh my goodness, isn't the time flying by! I've been busy making a few cards this evening, why do I always leave it till the last minute. I'm sure I posted on New Years Day 20011 that my resolution was to make a card a week! well, that went out the window and as usual I'm now panicking that I've still a few to do. Most of the cards I made tonight were using the wonderful LCI Magnum and Christmas add ons, these are truly brilliant, I'm not just saying it because I'm on the DT but they are so easy to use that even I can manage to layer the images! Wish I'd thought to print out a large pudding, wouldn't it look fab as a shaped card! if I get some time,I'll do that in the week, I haven't made my Mum's card yet and I bet she'd love it.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Digi Doodles 87, Paper piercing,
GL30,Christmas,
KK74, Anything goes,
OSAAT93, Anything goes,
Squirrel And Fox 7, Christmas.

Totally Ladybug Tuesday

Check out this gorgeous little cutie, isn't he adorable and what a dream to colour! that Tams knew exactly what she was doing when she chose "Baby" as the theme for this week's challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink, I'd like to say thanks Tams as this is the first time I've got to colour one of the LCI cuties.  Do check out the baby stamps, the rest of the set are adorable too!

I am hoping that the recipient of this name book has received this already, either that or she doesn't read this post.

It took a rather long time with the nesties and the Cuttlebug but I really love making these name books for new baby gifts. I used the gorgeous image from the set on the reverse of the W and on the lid of box.

I  nearly had a tragedy when I went to make the box as I'd lost the scorer for my trusty Fiskars trimmer, I panicked a bit then remembered that I bought a spare a while back,it's for a different model and although it isn't quite as good,it did do the job.

I'm using this gift for the following challenges:-
CES59,New Beginnings,
DSC77, Books,
Wee Memories 73,Free for all,
Totally Papercrafts 89,Layer upon layer.

Totally Ladybug Tuesday

It's Tuesday and time for Challenge 42 at Ladybug Crafts Ink and the theme chosen by Michele this week is  Use Pink andBrown and Circles.

I used the gorgeous Martini Nikki, coloured her using Copics, used a Nestie Circle to cut her out then placed her on a Nellie Snellen Die cut.

I used some prima flowers and shaped circles of brown bazil. The punched leaves were a present from my lovely teamie Laurie,I couldn't believe my luck when the postman turned up with them as they matched perfectly this DT card as I was making it!

I decorated the inside to match the front of my card.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Craft Your Passion 80,Double up pink,
Forever Friends,Use a sentiment,
Lets Ink It Up,Think pink,
Squirrel And Fox3,For the girls,

On to today's card using Magnum,I just love colouring him, trouble is I could go on for hours adding extra dimension using shading, blending the Copics. I decided to use a Quickutz butterfly instead of one of Magnum's add ons,the sentiment is also from Ladybug.
