Exciting New Lavinia Challenge About To Start!

You may have noticed that there hasn't been a Lavinia challenge yet in 2016, this is because things are about to change!

Check the "Lavinia Stamps Facebook page" to find out a little bit about it and to be in with the chance of winning one of their starter kits worth over £49!

Here I made a simple one layer card with a bit of  masking, stamping and inking, a bit of piercing some glitter and a scattering of sequins completes my card.
I love the background script, it seems to work for everything and who doesn't love dandelion clocks? They take me back to my childhood!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
A.T.S 121, Glitter, bling,
CAS on a Sunday 77, one layer,
MTTC316, One layer,
Stampin Royalty 318, Sparkle and shine.

Simply Over The Edge

I've really not been getting much time to craft lately so when I needed a quick card I went to my pot of images that I'd previously cut using my ScanNcut.
This gorgeous LCI Digi
was simple to colour and just perfect for the job

I couldn't get it to show up in the photo too well but there's a sprinkling of glamour dust on the roses and on the dots of Liquid pearls added to the gypsophilia on the digi.

Unfortunately the close up does show up the speedyness of my colouring job!

Just in case you hadn't heard the sad news,
will be closing their doors for good on the
28th October so time is running out if you wanted to bag yourself a bargain and what a perfect time to grab a few extras for Christmas gifts for your crafty friends!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
CCCDC11, Glitter digi,
TCC October, Pink,
4CC, Birthday.

A Little Thank Ewe!

I'm not kidding either!
The flower is from an ancient Quickutz set, it's a set that you can assemble to make a layered wedding cake with flowers for the top or a slice of cake. It was a set that I thought that I couldn't do without, however, I was so wrong! I think that this is only the second time it has ever been through my Cuttlebug!
Eunice looks so cute here don't you think!
I just added the "Thank" before printing it out, and flicked some grass using a gel pen.

I'm using this card for the following challenge:-
LIM173, CAS, Die cut.

Most of my cards are from my bank of photos at the mo but today I grabbed a few minutes to make the card that's been running through my head since this week's LIM challenge theme was posted. Quick And Colourful

A quick card made at the weekend using the scatterings on my desk.
The negative cut from cutting a circle, making the perfect mask for this design. The pile of ink pads left out along with make-up sponges and my new Lavinia stamps still in the envelope. I love it when a quick card just works! Even the ribbon was there on my desk, can't wait till I feel up to spending time on a good old tidy up!

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

Sunday Quickie.

It's been a while since I posted a "Sunday Quickie"
So here it is, exactly what it says on the packet lol, a quick card, made on a Sunday!

Sometimes it pays being a messy crafter, there was already a remnant of  narrow card and a folded card just waiting to be used. I just used my "Tattered Lace" snowflake, using the negative cut, placing the white waste into the middle by using a quickie glue pen into the remnants within the die and then putting the die back into the cut and using a pin to push them out so that the stuck perfectly into place.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-

CC November, Christmas,
LIM 146, DP CAS,
LC39, Christmas,
T4S24, Die.

Two Halves Make A Whole

I've had a photo on my phone for ages, I have no idea where I  took the photo from but I'd seen a butterfly made up of two halves and placed together looking like it was fluttering off the page. I wish I'd taken a photo from a different angle of mine to show it off better, I might see what I can do tomorrow.
The panel was made by sponging pink and apricot inks together then using a Lavinia stamp and the same two shades and stamping hap hazard onto the panel. The sentiment is from a set, one of my first ever buys by Woodware.
(The artificial light seems to have enhanced the apricot but washed out the pinks)

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
LIM109, Colours,
MIM129, Anything goes.

That Was A Close One

It's been a while since Ladybug Crafts Ink released the Teenager range, and although Kerry treated us all with the Beer Belly Man a few weeks back, we haven't had a good old fashioned  New Release Celebration Blog Hop for quite a while.  You won't want to miss this one, if the image that I've been given is anything to go by, you are in for a treat!
Please take the poster and add it to your side bar as a reminder, you won't want to miss out on the chance of winning one of these beauties!

Any way on to today's card, I happened to glance at the calendar and realised I needed a card urgently, so after enjoying the paperpiecing earlier in the week, I thought I'd do another CAS card, this time using Wine Stool Nikki, luckily it didn't take long to make as I needed to drop it off at lunch time.

I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
Copic Marker Europe, Black hair,
Crafts and Me 90, Birthday,
Papercraft Star, Cool Summer Drink
Victorine 37, Happy Birthday,

Don't forget to grab the poster!

Red, White And Blue

Morning all, what an amazing long weekend we were treated to for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee!  What a Lady she is!
With the celebrations in mind Julie has set the new challenge theme at Scrapbook Sisters as
We sure have seen lots of the colour combination here in the UK with all the Bunting and flags that have been flying!

Now, I have a confession to make, I usually make my DT cards a week in advance but found myself panicking on Monday evening as  I'd got mixed up with my days and as we were going up to London yesterday I had to make a card PDQ so my card is really simple. I also need to appologise for not getting round to comment on the huge amount of entries that there were last week either, I don't know where the week went.

The centre of my flower is actually a button with tiny pearls in the centre covered with glossy accents to hold them in place.

I'm using my card for the following challenges:-
Creative Craft, Red, White and Blue,
CYDA46, Red, White and Blue,
LIM70, Red, White and Blue,
Card Makin Mamas, Punches,

Evening!

Well, firstly I thought I'd share that Kerry, aka (Queen Ladybug) has now started to add this week's New Teenager Digi's to the shop, secondly, have you seen Pam's cards today? oh my goodness, they are amazing and if you thought that the images so far were good, you'll be major impressed with today's! You have just got to call by the challenge blog to see them and grab yourself the chance of winning one today's Teenager Digi's for yourself!

Onto my card today, a real quick one layer card made with this week's LIM theme. I just used a nestability die to cut circles from a couple of post-it-notes to use as  masks. First I used a mask  to ink the lilac circle, lifted the mask and used the die cut circle to mask the ink. I moved the mask and inked the pink circle then placed die cut circles over both of the inked areas. Using the other mask I inked the purple circle also stamping purple hearts over the area before removing the mask. I then doodled strings and stamped my greeting.
Have a great weekend,

Stickles......Big Mistake!

Ok,here we go again,I loved making my other masked Snowflake card yesterday and experimented, masking a different area of my card and trying out a freebie, magazine giveaway stamp. It didn't look too bad but you know what I'm like, I just don't know when to leave be, so out came the stickles and I added a drizzle around my masked area. Why did I do this I ask myself,??? it even gives the appearance that my masked area is on the squiff :( ,I couldn't even take my blade to it as for once it dried almost instantly. So, I thought I'd share it with you anyway as a reminder to myself and a lesson to you all, Sometimes it's best to leave be! (excuse the photo, for some reason my diamante looks black)

I'm using this card for the following challenges,
 LIM,One layer, snow,
Addicted To Stamps 19,Snowflakes,
DVC22,Christmas,
QCCB25, Snowing.
Have a great week everyone,

A Little Flurry

Ok, this is my second post of the day, thing is I felt a bit of a fake with my earlier card as the idea was a borrowed one so I thought I'd post another card for the same challenge, just to make myself feel better lol! I'm so glad I did as I'm desperate for some quick, simple cards to give out at work and these tiny 3" makes are just perfect!

The first card I fiddled with, you know what it's like,I added a silver marker edge to my card, I couldn't decide which size of gem to go with sooooo

I made another, these are so quick and easy, just a partially embossed snowflake using just the folder from my Cuttlebug Ice Crystal cut and emboss.
I'm using this card for the following challenges:-
LIM One layer, snow,
OCL95, Clean and Simple Holidays,
Polka Doodles 49,Quick Christmas (at 2 mins a piece I'd call it super quick lol!)
Simply Create Too 2,Embossing,
